Its Simple!!!.....Budget Skincare Must-Have

The Simple 'Kind to eyes revitalising roll-on.

I purchased the Simple 'Kind to eyes revitalising eye roll-on' around two weeks ago, and soon realised that its one of those little gems that you just can't live without. I picked it up on a whim in Boots, looking for something to sooth around the area, help with puffiness and maybe even help my dark circles, and this product doesn't disappoint.

As a contact lens wearer, my eyes can get red and sore, so anything that includes the ingredients cucumber extract and pro-vitamin B5 is most definitely worth giving a go. This cute little tube has a metal roller ball applicator which you roll over the delicate under eye area in small circular motions, whenever you feel the need. The roller ball applicator is so cold, it just feels lovely and fresh, soothing, de-puffing and cooling for the eye area.

The cooling roller ball applicator.

I'm not going to lie, this thing is completely addictive, once you start using it, you just can't stop! The liquid that is rolled onto the skin, as with all Simple products contains all kind and gently ingredients that won't irritate your skin or eyes. After applying the roller ball, you just gently pat in the excess liquid with your finger, and its dries quickly, leaving no tightness at all on the skin. It just leaves the area soft, smooth and totally refreshed.

The cute 15ml tube that promises to 'wake up tired eyes'.

I'm pretty sure I've noticed a teeny tiny improvement in my dark circles (which is odd as I have been loosing a bit of sleep this week with my gorgeous little boy having a cold!). But as I said earlier, I've only been using this for a couple of weeks so hopefully with more long term use, I will see a more noticeable difference (fingers crossed!).

The price of this eye treatment is definitely kind to your purse, which we all need at this time of year, its an amazing £4.99 and in my opinion will last quite a long time. Its such a fabulous price if your wanting to try out this kind of roller ball eye soother, I would definitely say to give this budget buy a try first, before parting with well over £20 on one of the bigger more high end brands. You can't go wrong with Simple, and all their products are currently on 3 for 2 at Boots......so what are you waiting for!!

The Lazy Girl's Body Lotion..........

We've all been using Vaseline products for years now, body lotion, deodorant, hand cream - the list goes on. But now we have the Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturiser. Basically, body lotion that you spray on, in a can.

When I spotted this in the Summer whilst looking round my local Boots, my first thought was, 'We've had spray-on fake tan for years now, how has it taken so long for a brand to release a spray on body lotion'. It's a genius idea! Anyhow, I will cut to the chase, and say that it was definitely worth the wait, it really is a great product. There are three different varieties to choose from, 'Cocoa Radiant', 'Essential Moisture' and 'Aloe Fresh'

Spray & Go promises to moisturise in seconds so that you can put your clothes straight on, and this is very true! It leaves no stickiness, which a lot of body lotions do, and who wants to be standing round waiting for their moisturiser to dry so that they can put their clothes on, time is precious first thing on a morning! Another plus, is that it sprays even when holding the can upside down, perfect for doing your back - as mentioned in the title, the lazy girl's body lotion. My favourite is Cocoa Radiant, it smells gorgeous, almost like chocolate. You don't need a huge amount, it rubs in well and the actual spray is quite fine, so your not wasting any.

The only downside to Spray & Go would be, as we are now racing towards another chilly winter, it can make you feel like your spraying freezing cold water all over yourself. Not ideal at 6am on a minus two winter morning! But if its going to give us silky soft skin throughout the winter months, then I'm sure we can handle it. A little tip for anyone with wooden flooring in their bathroom/bedroom, (as I have) this can leave your floor a tad slippery, so best to stand on a mat or towel before spraying.

I reckon its just a matter of time before several other brands jump on the 'Spray & Go' bandwagon in the coming months and release their own versions. The price is £4.99, but it does seem to crop up in the 3 for 2 offer in Boots quite often, so you can try all three varieties. What's not to love!

Get Glowing Skin As You Sleep.......

Those who know me well, know that I am beyond OBSESSED with my skin! Mainly due to the fact that I have always had 'issues' with mine, (but more of that later). So any products that claim to transform your skin, I'm sold! Those of you who continue to follow my blog will be seeing a lot more skin care posts along these lines.

Firstly, I wanted to tell you all about a Clinique product I have been using since it was first launched earlier this year, that is the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask. I have always been loyal to the Clinique brand, and remember buying my first higher end foundation from them when I was around sixteen (and had horrendously bad acne). You can't go wrong when it comes to Clinique skin care, and this little gem certainly doesn't disappoint. It promises to give you a dewy glow, as well as protect from dehydration, plump the skin and enable it to hold in soothing, nourishing moisture. And don't let the word 'mask' put you off, the consistency is more that of a very thick moisturiser, and doesn't feel at all as if it is lying on your skin, it actually sinks in beautifully. So, does it do what it claims to do................ in my opinion, it most definitely does.

I apply this product just before going to bed, having earlier done my usual skincare routine of cleansing and moisturising, and wake up with a lovely fresh glow to my skin. I would highly recommend this overnight mask, if you suffer from dry skin, and lets face it, in the colder months, we all do. You don't necessarily need to use it every day, I tend to use it as a pick-me-up when my skin looks as if it needs that little something extra, or if I'm due to have a night out, I use it maybe two or three nights leading up to it.

The price of the Moisture Surge Overnight Mask is £29 for 100ml. I've had mine for around six months and still have loads left, a little definitely goes a long way. So if your going to give your skin a treat this winter, then this product would be just perfect.
